Monitoring the crankcase space of Diesel engines is of great importance to improve the reliability. Normally, the crankcase space at constant output is very stable and any sudden increase is an indication of some disturbance in any of the cylinders.

This monitoring unit can be equipped on Diesel engines for continuously measuring and displaying the crankcase space in terms of lower value of pressure and if desired Alarm and Tripping contact output can be given additionally as option.

Since the crankcase space can vary between engines due to the difference in execution of crankcase ventilation pipe lines and configuration of cylinders, the reference value should be measured at start up of new installation.
